We are the life forms and parasites that happen to be thriving on the environment of Earth at this moment in time. We are particularly suited to survive in the temperature and natural habitat that exist currently.

We were not here in our current form a million years ago and it is unlikely that we will be in this form in another million years.

Who is to say what life will be recognised as in the future?
